First Congregational Church of Naples is a dynamic church located in Naples, FL. Our beliefs are based on the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. Our mission is very simple: to lead people to honor and glorify Jesus Christ. That means we’re not about a building or a complicated religious system, but about helping people from all backgrounds discover the joy that comes from knowing and serving Jesus Christ.

When you come, you’ll discover a warm atmosphere, a friendly welcome, practical teaching from God’s Word and people pursuing God together. With youth and children’s programs, we minister to the entire family.

God made a promise in the Bible that if we seek after Him, we’ll find Him. You are a valued part of God’s creation and He has made a way through Jesus to be in relationship with you. Let’s pursue the with-God together!

Our Vision & Belief

Positive

Congregational Christian Churches are gathered around a covenant. That is, we affirm our collective central faith in Jesus Christ as we find Him revealed in the Bible and covenant together to be the people of God in this place as He leads us on as modern day Pilgrims. We recognize that different Christians and Christian families are on a faith journey. As such, affirm the basic principles of faith as defined in scripture and as exemplified in the historic Christian faith. We gather with an open Bible, a mind being renewed in Christ, and heart filled with the Holy Spirit.

We affirm faith in Christ as He is revealed in the Bible.

We affirm freedom of conscience of the individual beleiver in a spirit of unity in diversity.

We affirm the fellowship of the saints of God to encourage and lift one another up; to spur one another on to love and good works.

We affirm truths found in the historic Creeds of the Christian faith but do not use them as precise litmus tests for fellowship. We have an open communion table for all who procliam faith in Jesus. We recognize that we are not the only Christians, but we are Christian only! We open the Bible and we worship God. We welcome every weary travelor on life’s journey and invite you to come worship with us! May The Lord richly bless you in Jesus Christ our Savior!

Covenant

We, the people of First Congregational Church of Naples covenant with one another to be the people of God. We affirm faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. We affirm and celebrate the Sacraments by coming to the Lord’s Table and honoring the rite of Baptism. We shall nurture and support the family of faith through prayer, study, and a record of joyful giving and willing service. We renounce the powers of evil and affirm the benevolent purposes of God. We covenant to walk by faith, live by grace, and show love and justice to all people as we follow the example of Christ, our redeemer. Our covenantal purpose is to grow in the Christian life as faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ as we celebrate His presence and further His mission in the world. Amen.

History

The “Miracle Church” First Attendees on October 3, 2004

First Congregational Church began as a vision in the heart of Dr. Les & Phyllis Wicker. Having previously served another fellowship in Naples, the couple returned to Naples from Wisconsin to plant what has become a thriving, serving, God honoring, positive church with a positive message that is reaching the community and world for Christ!
